Release Notes: Release 6.3 Updates/Fixes

Updated: 30th August 2024

A number of minor fixes and optimsations have been released since the original Release 6.3. This release note includes details of theses and will be updated to reflect any additional fixes and updates before any future major releases.

Release 6.3a for Voltage Modular 2.7.0 and above

Sep 2023: Eight Poly Amplifiers fixed an issue with the text display.

Feb 2024: Dual Counter fixed issue with reset behaviour when no jacks connected.

Release 6.3b for Voltage Modular 2.9.2 and above (Aug 2024)

Modules that used the Digital Display with alphanumeric text (such as Error conditions) Clock Generator, CV Note Display, Delayed LFO, Dual Counter, Dual Frequency Meter, Dual Voltmeter, Eight DC Sources, MIDI Display, Step Generator, Tempo Display, Time Meter, Trigger Counter Plus and Wave Peaks to CV were updated to fix an issue where the display could get “stuck” when it changed between displaying purely numeric and alphanumeric information. In addition, some further optimisation of this display code made possible by VM 2.9.2 was incorporated.

MIDI Display also now can displays Program Change messages as expected (i.e. when VM is not set to use them to change its presets). In versions of Voltage Modular prior to 2.9.2 this did not work when used as a VST3 due to limitations in the VST3 implementation. The help page/document and tooltip have been updated to reflect this change.
